Lament of the Sun Blade Justice

Peerless sword, unseen by foe.
Awakened, his allies untold,
With holy war and magic undone,
The sun blade justice’ wings wandered alone…

From afar, Heaven observed the Broken World,
Where world’s innocents died betwixt magic webs,
Yet, no gods nor goddesses did these people hold,
Thus evil banners swayed as angel-passions ebbed.

Peerless sword, unseen by foe.
Awakened, his allies untold,
With holy war and magic undone,
The sun blade justice’ celestial fury shone…

From afar, one Justice rose to the desperate plea,
Winged warden, left gold and silver daughters dear,
To fight evil astride waves till the folk escaped to sea,
There faded the Sun Sword to distance to many a tear.

Peerless sword, unseen by foe.
Awakened, his allies untold,
With holy war and magic undone,
The sun blade justice’s fate is still unknown…

From afar, the point where light left as winds took sails,
Wary wanderers, from coast’s edge is the tale is decried
From ancient ally awakened by spell becomes the grail.
Twas not evil darkened the sun but two brothers denied.

Peerless sword, unseen by foe.
Awakened, his allies untold,
With holy war and magic undone,
The sun blade justice’s prison is far from home.

Bio:

The Lament of the Sun Blade Justice was recorded at the behest of the Society of Skalds by Zarathor the Bold in the service of his friend and liege, Hrothgar the Wise. Original manuscripts also have a sketched depiction of Justarian Sunsword — the Archon that saved the Thella and Kisvin refugees.
